Mike was a life-long friend and sadly he was a victim of ALS aka Lou Gerhig's disease. His dad and older brother Chuck also were ALS victims.

After I retired from Deere in 2004 I worked in Real Estate in Florida till the market collapsed in 2008 and moved back to my Moline home.
During that time I started collecting antique 1930's radios and also got into the murky world of bitcoins and crypto currencies.

These photos today show the custom plate on my T-Bird and then your's truly shown with a 1936 Crosley WLW radio weighing 600 lbs (the radio not me :)) , perhaps the most rare and valuable radio in America.

This radio shown is in a secret mansion location in Davenport and was purchased by the owner last year for $60,000.

Also, I may have to change my custom car plate-An older retired lady at Fareway recently saw it and thought I worked for a Funeral home !

Oh No-Not Terrie. He was my Estes Rocket buddie. We would build them and then his dad would take us out to the Groth farm in Eldridge in his shiney black and chromed 1958 Buick to launch off our rockets.

We lost a few in the tall corn too we never found.

I knew he had lived in South America for many years. He dad just passed away a few years ago in his late 90's so this was too early for Terrie.
