DAVENPORT -- Bruce Wayne Dahl, Davenport, died Saturday, September 13, 2003, at Genesis West Medical Center, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Davenport. Bruce was born August 17, 1952, in Davenport, to Fred E. and Shirley (Bujewski) Dahl. He married Cynthia Simpson on January 20, 1973, in Davenport. He had been employed at John Deere Davenport Works as a press operator for the last 26 years. He was a classic car enthusiast and an avid hunter. He was a member of the V-8 Club, Good Guys Club and the NHRA. He was a former member of Ducks Unlimited. Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his wife, Cindy, Davenport; daughter, Shalan Mason, Walcott; son, Wade Dahl and Venesa, Blue Grass; grandchildren, Denton, Dustin, and Dalton Mason, and Victoria "Tori" Dahl; mother, Shirley Dahl, Davenport; brothers, Brad and Brian of Davenport; and sisters, Brigitte Cesar, Davenport and Brandy Harland, Buffalo. Bruce was preceded in death by his father. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Oncology Department at Genesis West Medical Center for their loving care and friendship they extended to Bruce, his family and his friends during his illness.
