DAVENPORT - Nancy A. Jones, 60, of Davenport, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Clinton. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 2 until 6 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport. A gathering of friends will be after the visitation at Chuck's Tap, Davenport. Nancy was born May 3, 1952, in Davenport, the daughter of Richard Thomas and Irma (Behr) Nolan, along with her stepfather, Harry Nolan. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1970.
Nancy enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. She was an avid Bears fan and loved NASCAR. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at Chuck's Tap.
Nancy was formly married to Rick Jones.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Heather Jones and Andrea (Benny) Yates, both of Davenport; brothers, Dick (Amy) Thomas, Moline, Roger (Preya) Thomas, of Wyoming, Rodney (Lisa) Thomas, Davenport, Brian (Cindie) Nolan, Davenport, Tim (Jackie) Nolan, of Wisconsin, and Jeff (Jane) Nolan, Wyoming; fiancé, Rich Groom, and his son, Gabe; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her precious cat, "88" and dog, "Baby."
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and her cat, Precious.
