David Ryan 

DAVENPORT - David Lee Ryan, 56, of Davenport, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 30, 2009, surrounded by loved ones, following a heroic battle with cancer. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 7 p.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Beacon of Hope Hospice or the family.

Mr. Ryan was a carpenter by trade for over 40 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and life to the very end. 

Survivers include his wife, Deborah Lee Ryan; children, Jennifer (Shawn) McDermott, Lindsay Ryan (fiancée, Scott Gardner), and Joseph Ryan (fiancée, Cheryl Blaser); stepson, Shawn Baker; six grandchildren; sister, Darcia Nahra; and brother, Del (Karen) Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nelda Ryan, a brother, Daniel, and a sister, Dena Lohse.
