James Ramsay

DAVENPORT -- James "Beast" Ramsay, of Davenport, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at his home after a brief illness. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 6, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. James was born November 22, 1951, in Davenport, the son of Robert and Hazel M. (Koontz) Ramsay. He worked at Geifman Warehouse in his earlier years and was working at American Honda where he had been for the last 24 years. He loved to compete in arm wrestling competitions, and loved to hunt and camp. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Those left to honor his memory include his children, Stacy (Dan) Paidar, Mechanicsville, Iowa, and Marianne Ramsay, Bennett, Iowa; grandchildren, Mason, Aleecia, Adam, Alex and Allison; brothers, Robert Ramsay, Bettendorf, and Craig Ramsay, Bettendorf; and a sister, Mrs Charles (Marilyne) Panozzo; and several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James S. Ramsay, in 2000, sister, Barbara Hatfield, and a brother, John Ramsay.
