DAVENPORT -- Funeral Services for Steven P. Dugan, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the Halligan McCabe De Vries Funeral Home. In keeping with Steve's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral services. Private family burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Steve died Friday, May 2, 2008, at his home after a brief illness. Steven Patrick Dugan was born March 12, 1952, in Davenport, the son of Charles E. and Bernice M. (Powers) Dugan. Steve graduated from Davenport West High School in 1970. He was employed as an ironworker with IronWorkers Union Local 111 of Rock Island for over 36 years. He served as a former executive officer of the local union office. Steve enjoyed karaoka, fishing and mushroom hunting and spending time with his two daughters. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include his daughters, Danielle Dugan and Nicole Dugan, both of Iowa City; a special friend, Kim Kimball, Davenport, his mother, Bernice Dugan, Davenport, a sister Linda (Charles) Pierce, Davenport, brothers, Dan Dugan (Dixie Korch) Davenport, Jeff Dugan (Laurie Beinke), LeClaire, Iowa, and James (Michele) Dugan, Davenport, and nephews, nieces and cousins.
