DAVENPORT -- Services for Linda Kindig, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Mrs. Kindig died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. She was employed 12 years as a secretary at Davenport Community School District. Linda Braun was born Aug. 30, 1952, in Davenport, to Arthur and Ethel (Hoover) Braun. She married Kim Cooper in 1970. She married Steve Kindig on Nov. 12, 1988, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers and crafts. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include her husband; sons, Joe Cooper and Nick Cooper, both of Davenport, a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Lisa Cooper, Davenport, and a stepson, Sean Kindig, Davenport; grandchildren, Jacob and Katelyn Cooper, Davenport; her mother, Ethel Braun, Davenport; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Laura Braun, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her father in 1992.
