DAVENPORT -- Pamela J. Shaw, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 10, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006, 10 a.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Pamela was born April 16, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Marcella (Lange) Biittner. She was united in marriage to Larry A. Shaw on August 19, 1972, in Davenport. From 1982 to 2001 she worked for DeWitt Central Community School District. Pamela cherished her four grandchildren, to whom she was so devoted that she retired to care for them. She enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, and antiquing. Pam also enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas with her grandchildren. Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of 33 years, Larry A. Shaw, Davenport; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jason Strang, Davenport; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Victoria Shaw, Minneapolis, Minn.; father, Eugene Biittner, Davenport; brothers, Randy, Crosby, Minn., and Scott and Todd, both of Davenport; and four grandchildren, Samuel and Benjamin Strang and Charles and Avery Shaw.
